With the support of BTB's Policy Working Group, we have created a petition around investment in youth development. We are calling on city leaders to act now, on behalf of children and youth in our city with an immediate investment of $30 million dollars of ARPA funding. BTB Releases Core Competencies for Youth Development Practitioners
A year in the making, this guide provides a set of competencies--or knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to youth development work--for youth development professionals. The guide also includes a Self-Assessment Tool for staff to measure their own knowledge and skills in the areas of: health, program design, program activities, professionalism, community engagement, and sustainability. Beyond the Bell is led by a coalition of youth-serving agency providers, youth and allies. If you would like to serve on a working group, sign up for the issue area(s) that are of interest to you and we'll get in touch with details on upcoming meetings and projects.
