According to a new study in Psychosomatic Medicine: Journal of Biobehavioral Medicine, people who participated in clubs as teenagers were at a lower risk of death later in life. The study, along with a growing body of research, suggests that social participation--especially in activities like clubs or afterschool programs--throughout life contributes to health and longevity.
