Dr. Elizabeth Drame

Dr. Elizabeth Drame is a Professor in the Department of Exceptional Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She directs the Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate Program and is Department Chair. Dr. Drame's research centers on fostering positive educational outcomes for students with disabilities in inclusive schools, and social justice and equity issues in special education locally, regionally and internationally with a focus on the African Diaspora. She is co-editor of Collaborative Practitioners, Collaborative Schools and Black Participatory Research: Power, Identity and the Struggle of Justice in Education. She teaches courses in curriculum adaptations, collaborative strategies, participatory action research, assessment and progress monitoring, behavioral supports, foundations of autism spectrum disorders and inclusive education. Dr. Drame is Vice-President and Member of the Derute Consulting Cooperative.

FIRST PRESENTATIONS

This After School Programs presentation will provide participants with a deeper understanding of how student performance can be improved when they are given access to career building resources. Participants will discuss how schools are preparing students for college and the workforce.
